Stone Sealing

Natural stone has been formed over millions of years, but improper care can ruin nature's beauty. Although we usually think of stone as "hard", it is a porous material that can absorb spills and stains if left untreated. Accentt will seal your stone with a quality impregnating sealer to prevent most spills from damaging the stone. To maintain the life of the seal, refer to the "stone care" section below.

Stone Care

Clean your natural stone on a regular basis with warm water and a non-abrasive cloth. In addition, use a neutral cleaner such as Stone-Tech "Revitalizer" stone & tile cleaner and protector. This cleaner's unique blend of neutral cleaning agents makes it gentle on your stone while leaving behind an impregnating protective shield every time you clean. Do not use general purpose liquid or abrasive cleaners that are either acid or alkaline based whereas they may damage the seal or stone.

Use "Revitalizer" on a regular basis to remove residues from cooking oils and everyday food spills as well as hair spray, toothpaste and other cosmetics that may damage the stone or sealer.

Damp mop stone floors with a diluted solution of "Revitalizer" as directed on the label. Keep off the wet slippery floor until dry.

On bath wet areas, such as tub or shower areas, periodically use "Revitalizer” to remove soap scum or hard water deposits.

Dos And Don'ts
